We're looking for Lifeguards to join us at our New Aquatics Complex at Wilderness Ridge! Hours vary, mostly evenings and weekends. Flexible scheduling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enforce rules and regulations
- Maintain discipline within the pool area
- Rescue swimmers in distress
- Administer first and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Assist with general clean-up activities
- Conduct chlorine / acid level tests
Qualifications
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and CPR certifications
- Current Lancaster County food handlers permit
- Communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers
- Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
- Visually inspect all work areas, pools and grounds
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit and talk or hear. The employee is exposed to the sun, occasionally required to swim, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must be physically able to perform all rescue skills, including backboard rescue and deep water lift
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
